You may have over-exposed to one particular asset and want to free up capital to purchase another asset for sale, this function allows you to do that.
understanding open offers & exit windows
The offer will state the amount in which the buyer is willing to pay and the quantity of that asset they are willing to pay.
Once the offer is filled (this is done by asset holders agreeing to the offer) the offer will no longer available.
That being said when open offers come in, you will still receive them as Open offers are not limited to exit window timescales.

Yes, we recommend buying assets you already own, as if you buy at a discount this will reduce your average purchase price which in turn could potentially increase your profit.
Listings are available to be made 4 weeks prior to the exit window open day this will be available todo within your holdings page, by simply clicking the stock item you wish to list and selecting “list” you will be then prompt to put in an asking price and any further information about the stock item we require, once the Exit Window is open your listing will be made public for all to see.
Open offers go to all owners of a particular stock item that has had an offer on, open offers work on a first come first served basis, so if an offer is made on a stock item you own, you will be notified and you will have the ability to accept or reject.
Exit windows are made for clients who want to sell before their recommend hold period due to reasons such as a liquidity event, open offers is when certain stock items are in demand and users wish to purchase stock items that are not for sale. To maximise value we suggest all clients should hold for their recommended hold period.
If your stock item does not sell in an exit window, you would wait for an open offer or the next exit window.
If you miss an open offer, you have missed the opportunity to sell your stock item at that time.

Fees do apply: please see our terms and conditions. If you are purchasing wine, whisky or rum cask for investment, you must consider the cost of maintaining your cask. You maybe liable for storage and insurance. The price will be dependent on how comprehensive the policy is and premiums may increase on an annual basis. It is advisable to perform regular health checks on your cask or wine every three years. Whisky Partners may occasionally require certain information from you to comply with HMRC requirements.
Casks: Cask services are chargeable to you, including regauging, samples, and photographs. All casks are stored within HMRC-bonded warehouses and are subject to strict rules and regulations set by HMRC. If you wish to sample or bottle your cask, duty and VAT will be due before the whisky or rum has been bottled and the finished goods are removed from the HMRC-bonded warehouses. This remains the responsibility of the cask owner. “New Make” spirit has to be matured for 3 years, during which time its alcoholic strength could reduce. In addition, the volume of spirit will decrease over time (“the Angels’ share”). For the product to be classed as “whisky”, it must retain a minimum strength of 40%.
